With the summer 2021 completion date drawing ever nearer, MLS side Columbus Crew have revealed some additional new renderings that show what fans can expect once the downtown venue opens.

Columbus Crew’s new Downtown Stadium looked impressive when it was first unveiled back in September 2019, and now the club have given fans a further sneak peek at what to expect upon the its completion. Centered in downtown Columbus, the Crew’s new stadium is expected to be a $230-million, 20,000-capacity venue on a 33-acre site. It’s set to feature a full wraparound roof, four distinct stands along with safe standing for the Nordecke supporters’ section, a brew hall that will also be open on non-matchdays, and the first supporters’ beer garden in the MLS. Yep, that got our attention too.

The new imagery shows a more detailed look at the roof that wraps around the stadium and the exclusive, covered entrance for the Nordecke, which will provide an unparalleled experience for premium club members. It also shows off the ‘Crewhouse’ brew hall that’s sure to be a hit with the home faithful. Beyond the stadium, the project includes a riverfront park, nearly 1,000 new residential units and office and commercial space.
