Nike has secured another massive victory in the international kit game, staving off competition from adidas and PUMA to extend their long-running partnership with the French Football Federation.

Nike recently shook the the market with the announcement of a deal with the DFB for the 2027-34 cycle, stealing away the rights from bitter rivals Adidas, and ending one of the longest running kit deals in the history of the game. It led to speculation that adidas would seek revenge, and when the French Football Federation announced a new kit and apparel supplier tender process back in March for the next eight-year contract period, many suspected that would be the perfect option for adidas, offering the Three Stripes the opportunity to steal away one of Nike’s key international federations, with whom they have been partnered since 2011. But it appears Nike had other ideas…

The French Football Federation has now announced that Nike will be its official equipment supplier for the period of the 2026/2027 to 2033/34 seasons.

The Nike brand will continue to equip all French teams and national youth teams for women and men. This partnership will also include a specific component dedicated to amateur football and referees.

A statement from Nike said: “In fifteen years of partnership between Nike and the FFF, we are proud of what we have accomplished together. We look forward to continuing our partnership to serve as a catalyst for growth and investment in amateur football in France, accelerating the growth of women's football at all levels, and further amplifying the FFF as an international icon performance and style."

The renewal of our partnership and the agreement reached position the FFF among the very leading sports organisations in the world. When I was elected, I made a commitment to ensure the sustainability of the FFF, in all its dimensions: societal, diversity, development of high-level practice, women's football and amateur football. This partnership with Nike, with whom we share a common vision and objectives, gives us the means to actively contribute, at least for the next decade!"
