Nike take us through a time tunnel of Brazil National Team shirts on the eve of the 2014 World Cup. The Swoosh first appeared on the famous yellow jerseys in 1997 and has since produced a series of iconic shirts including a World Cup winning design in 2002 right up to the new strip to be worn by the hosts to kick off the tournament tomorrow.
The Brasil national team home jersey wasn't always yellow. Brasil wore white and blue kits for ove half a century, right up until they lost the 1950 World Cup Final to Uruguay in their own back yard. The first yellow and green jersey was worn in 1954 and was the result of a national competition, inspired by the colours of the national flag.
Nike and Brasil's 18 year partnership is one of the most widely recognised in the game. The most successful shirt of the collection has to be the 2002 World Cup winning jersey which triggered another star being placed above the crest.
The yellow jersey, called Amarelinha or Little Yellow One is the home shirt for the most successful football team in the world.
