To celebrate the Rossoneri's 120th anniversary, PUMA have drawn inspiration from one of AC Milan’s most memorable periods, with the 2019/20 home shirt taking influence from the successes of the 1969 side.
The AC Milan 2019/20 home shirt from PUMA features a bold and elegant design that honours the game-changing style of play that the club demonstrated 50 years ago. This was a period that represented the rebirth of Milan, when the city established itself as a global centre for culture, design and fashion. During the 1969/70 season, Milan won their second European Cup in Madrid in May (beating Ajax), before being crowned Intercontinental Cup champions in October. Club icon Gianni Rivera also won the Ballon d’Or award, becoming the first of six Rossoneri winners of the coveted prize.
The design reverts to classic narrow Rossoneri stripes, and they're joined by a black round collar for a modern interpretation of the classic 60’s kit. The new shirt made its on-pitch debut on 19 May during the club's final Serie A home fixture against Frosinone Calsio; a game Milan won 2-0, giving the new look a nice debut.
