adidas Reveal Full MLS 2020 Jersey Collection

As part of the celebrations surrounding Major League Soccer’s historic 25th season, the league and adidas together unveiled the complete collection of 2020 jerseys for all teams at a celebrity-packed event in New York called FORWARD25, and you can check all 26 out below.

The 2020 jerseys feature the iconic 3-stripe adidas EQT (equipment) designs, which first debuted in the 1990s when MLS was formed and have been bought back for the all-new, 26- team collection. Unique elements for each club are infused throughout the jersey designs. For example, for the two new clubs joining this year, Inter Miami CF will feature embossed black herons throughout the jersey, while Nashville SC’s jersey showcases vibrant colors to highlight the new beat of Music City.

MLS clubs alternate their kit releases, so if a club received a new home kit last season, they'll keep it and unveil a new away design which will last two seasons. While each club has the EQT template each design is made bespoke with the detailing throughout. The EQT design has been a fan favourite throughout the decades, featuring on some iconic kits, especially Liverpool kits, so to give it exclusively to the MLS is a smart move by adidas that makes the shirts instantly recognisable. There's something a bit exotic about them, like in a pre-internet age when that one mate from school would come back from America with a pair of trainers in a colourway you'd never seen before.
