Pumas UNAM debuted their 22/23 home shirt in the Liga MX match against Club Tijuana, which had been revealed just prior along with the club’s new away shirt.

Arriving with their classic and unmistakeable signature style, Pumas UNAM unveiled their new home and away shirts for the new season, before debuting the former in their Liga MX opener against Club Tijuana, a game that ended in a 1-1 draw. Both shirts have been launched on the back of the 2022 third shirt, after that dropped back in March, and both bring a fresh tweak on what’s come before.

For the home shirt it’s a white base with that trademark Puma head logo that dominates the design arriving in gold. Navy accents then complete the look, most notably on a gradient stripe execution that runs back to front across the shoulders. Gold and navy trim then finishes the look on both collar and cuffs.

For the away there’s a combination of two classic club colours in gold and navy, previously used in third shirt designs, with the body taking on the gold with the navy sitting across the shoulders and sleeves. That Puma head again features prominently, this time in navy, with a wavy graphic emanating from it throughout the gold colour.

As with all of Nike’s major shirt releases for 22/23, the Pumas UNAM home and away shirts land in the new Nike authentic 22/23 Vaporknit template, which features a new knit pattern. It’s the 2022 World Cup template that Nike will use for the upcoming tournament in Qatar, getting a run out ahead of the December showpiece. The modern, fitted template is designed to allow more dynamic movement thanks to panel cuts inspired by base-layer compression wear.
