Celebrating inclusion and diversity as fundamental part of the club’s DNA, Argentine Primera División side Club Atletico Belgrano have revealed a new special edition away kit for 2023 from Errea.

Club Atlètico Belgrano were promoted to the top flight of Argentine football after winning the 2022 Primera Nacional – and they’re a club that need to be on your radar. They’re nicknamed “El Pirata” (The Pirate), and they’re only too happy to lean into this with their kit designs, in similar fashion to Orlando Pirates, working to great effect. But they’re also on-point in terms of their social approach as well, with diversity being an essential part of the club’s identity. And these two things work in perfect harmony for the club’s new special edition away shirt for 2023 from Errea.

Throughout history, Belgrano has forged its identity as an open, inclusive institution committed to society, inserted in a multicultural neighbourhood recognised for its collective struggles and raising flags against all kinds of discrimination.

The new kit arrives in black with bright orange accents and multicoloured panels under the arms and piping round the hem, which is in place to represent inclusion and diversity as a fundamental matrix to make a club and a world increasingly fair and equal.

Following suit with the 2022 away shirt, a skull and crossbones, also in bright orange, is laid over the blacked out club crest in reference to the club’s “El Pirata” nickname.

Diversity is itself an essential part of our identity,” read a club statement. “And this new kit, different from the rest, was born to honour that tradition of a club that is different from the rest, because it is built daily from the diverse and democratic participation of thousands of people, united by the same passion."
