Following very much in the same mould as the home shirt in terms of design, Serie B side Como 1907 have revealed their new third shirt for 22/23 from Errea, and it comes with a special sponsor.

Back in August, Como 1907 popped up on our radar with the drop of their new home shirt, with a design that drew inspiration from the waters of Lake Como that practically lap up against the North Stand of the club's beautiful Stadio Giuseppe-Sinigaglia. And while that design takes the image of the waters on a picturesque day, the new third shirt features what looks to be a similar visage, although this one would come straight from a stormy night.

Designed by high fashion designer Didit Hediprasetyo and produced by the Italian sportswear company Erreà, the new third shirt features a change to the home and away shirts, with regular sponsors Mola stepping aside for a very special cause. In place of the regular logo is the “Quelli che… con Luca” association, with all profits from the sale of the kit being donated to the fight against childhood leukemia.

In 2011 Luca lost his battle against Acute Myeloid Leukemia. A severe form of leukemia which is the most common and frequent childhood cancer. In Italy about 400-500 children fall ill every year, this is the second cause of death for children after road accidents.

Luca’s father, Andrea Ciccioni, founded the non-profit organisation after his son’s passing, to support research projects on immunotherapy with CAR-T cells. The association is already changing the lives of many young patients.

A great shirt, and an even greater cause.
