Celebrating 50 years of the iconic Westfalenstadion, aka Signal Iduna Park, Borussia Dortmund have revealed a special edition kit from PUMA, which they will wear in their game against VfB Stuttgart on Saturday.

Stadiums across the world carry such storied histories: tales of triumph and of defeat, of highs and of lows, but most of all of solidarity and community. So many stadiums are so iconic, coming complete with their own character, a fortress in which to fight off invading forces, and one such is Borussia Dortmund’s Westfalenstadion, currently known as the Signal Iduna Park, which, on the 2 April, celebrated its 50th anniversary.

To celebrate half a century of existence, the club has unveiled a unique special edition jersey from technical sponsors, PUMA, dedicated to their home ground. The jersey will be worn in the upcoming home game against Stuttgart, and it combines the design of various stages of the Westfalenstadion, which opened in 1974, sublimated throughout. The jersey boasts a split of the club's black and yellow colours, presented as a black core bordered on either side by yellow. The BVB logo and the PUMA logo both come in a throwback look for the occasion, while the numbers "1974 - 2024" can also be seen on the neck of the jersey.
