Mizuno have rocked up to the World Cup party with a new and rather fitting gold Wave Ignitus III colourway for Japan's Keisuke Honda to wear in Brazil.

Mizuno don't churn out colourway after colourway for the sake of it. The Japanese brand bide their time and when it comes to new paint jobs and the latest Wave Ignitus III drop is wrapped up in quilt of World Cup pride.

The gold Mizuno Wave Ignitus III football boots join the recently released Morelia and Morelia Neo to complete the brand's 2014 World Cup boot line up and will be worn exclusively by the Mizuno's fellow countryman Keisuke Honda.

Under that newly sprayed gold bonnet it's all your standard Ignitus shooting technology. The Mukaiten panel creates 'non spin' movement, reducing the rotation of the ball to make it difficult for 'keepers to judge the flight of the ball. When used properly of course, you can't just run up, toe it and hope to see it sink into the top corner.

Japan kick off their Group C campaign against Ivory Coast on June 15th where Honda will lace up in the new Iginitus for the first time in a competitive game.
