Nike merge together the worlds of innovation and tradition to land the new 'Tech Craft' Pack, a four silo collection consisting of the Hypervenom, Magista, Mercurial and Tiempo.

Nike's innovation train has been at top speed since the 2014 World Cup in Brazil but now they've looked back to ultimately take their football footwear collection forward. Nike’s design team are motivated by progression but the team grew up wearing the era’s leather boots and still retain high regard for the material and the soft touch associated with it. Collectively, the team began exploring the potential of fusing leather to Nike’s iconic football silhouettes in 2014 and the result? A premium collection of hybrid leather boots: Nike Tech Craft.

Some description

Nike Tech Craft strategically places a thin layer of leather in high ball-contact areas (the medial and lateral sides of the forefoot) on each of Nike’s four football boots - the Hypervenom IIMagista ObraMercurial Superfly IV and Tiempo V. Each boot remains true to its original aesthetic and performance attributes, but with the soft touch and classic appeal of leather.

The colour-scheme from the recent 'Lightning Storm' Pack is retained but the layer of black leather material on the front of the boot gives the collection a much more understated look and a design that will no doubt be popular with players looking for a more traditional feel to kick off the season.

“Tech Craft encompasses our ‘no-compromise’ philosophy. Players don’t have to choose between materials like Flyknit and leather; they can have the benefits of both in one premium pair of boots.” Explains Nathan VanHook, Nike Football Senior Design Director. Hottest Nike pack of 2015? Has to be doesn't it? Player wise, you'll looking at Edinson Cavani, Alexis Sanchez and Blaise Matuidi to all wear the Nike Tech Craft boots on pitch.

The Nike Tech Craft Pack is available worldwide from select retailers including Pro-Direct Soccer from Aug 13. What we thinking? Drop your comments below.
