If Gareth Bale needed any extra inspiration to reach the 2017 Champions League Final in Wales, he's now got it. With the knockout stages commencing this week, Bale and the rest of adidas' Purechaos players will take their first step on the road to Cardiff by tying the laces of a limited edition X16+ Purechaos boot inspired by the Welsh Dragon.

They'll certainly be added fire in the belly of the Welshman to lift the Champions League in his homeland and adidas will reap the rewards if his Real Madrid side do manage to retain their Champions of Europe crown in Cardiff in June. As for the boots that Bale, Suarez and Thomas Muller will be wearing when the knockout stages fire up this week, the adidas X16+ Purechaos leans on the Welsh emblem for its dragon design, a theme that is replicated on the ACE 17+ Purecontrol and 2017 Finale Match Ball.

Some description

Tech wise, the X 16+ Purechaos is untouched from previous colourways, although aesthetically its a different approach entirely and one that packs an added punch of creativity. The limited edition Dragon Pack graphics create the most experimental visuals yet on the lightweight speed silo. Works for us. Over to you Gareth.
