Leo Messi swings by the Blue Blast ball with a new pair of signature dancing shoes. Joining the ACE 17+ Purecontrol and X 16+ Purechaos colour-ups, the Messi 16+ Pureagility boot will be the first 2017 update to be worn by the man himself.

Of course, Messi favours the 16.1 edition of the boot, but the colourway remains the same on his top-level Pureagility option, complete with lace-cover. Moving out of the Red Limit collection, the latest Messi signature series sees a deep blue upper dipped in hues of pink and "Solar Orange" towards the base of the boot, submerging the soleplate. A colourway that'll do its very best to complement the famous blue and red of Barcelona.

The new drop features all the Messi mod cons, including the AgilityKnit upper, Pureagility heel lining and Sprintframe outsole to ensure it sits alone from the ACE and X silos, only the colourway pulling them all together. For Messi, it's not quite as simple as adidas' 'Chaos' and 'Control' concept – the Three Stripes believe hit sits in a category of his own, and five Ballon d’Ors are probably enough to back that up.

Messi, along with adidas' full squad of contracted players will switch into their new "Blue Blast" X 16+ Purechaos, ACE 17+ Purecontrol, and Messi 16+ Pureagility footwear in the coming weeks, meaning that they'll be on-pitch for when the Champions League returns in February. Nice timing, that.
