It's been on ice for 15 years but now adidas shake up the champagne and pop open a bottle of their finest footballing nostalgia by pouring a limited edition glass of the famous Predator Mania Champagne collection. Iconic in every sense. As far as re-releases go, they don't come much bigger than this, make no mistake about it.

Reborn from the colourway famously worn by David Beckham at the 2002 World Cup in Japan & South Korea, the Predator Mania forms part of a wider exclusive collection that includes Champagne editions of the ACE 17+, X 16+, Copa and UltraBOOST models. Champagne for everyone and everything. There was only ever one man worthy of relaunching a collection of such history and magnitude and that's David Beckham himself. Roped in to pay homage to late 90’s Predator Mania adverts Beckham is reunited with the boot of a generation complete with that trademark red tongue.

Some description

Sam Handy, Vice President of Design, adidas Football, said: “The champagne colourway was one of adidas Football’s most iconic for our most iconic boot, the adidas Predator Mania. With the new adidas champagne pack, we’ve been able to fuse a classic colourway with our modern on-pitch and off-pitch innovations, giving it the modern twist that we know football lovers want.”

Those modern twists Handy talks of include a lightweight Sprintframe outsole borrowed from the ACE 17+ series, a fully synthetic-leather upper and those legendary rubber pads for that famous whip. In theory, it's 100% match fit but with number strictly limited you'll do well to spot many on-pitch. This is more than a football boot. This is history. This is a generation in a shoe-box. Take a sip, taste those bubbles.
