Carli Lloyd is on the receiving end of more custom Nike Mercurial gold as she is awarded with a bespoke Mercurial Superfly 360 design to celebrate reaching 100 goals for the United States of America. Patriotic vibes on a classy canvas.

Lloyd reached the landmark achievement during last month's friendly victory over Mexico and Nike have acted to mark the occasion in signature style. The Manchester City midfielder took to Instagram to showcase her latest Swoosh trophy and confirming that'll it be one for the mantel piece rather than the pitch.

Lloyd had already been gifted custom Mercurial Superfly designs in 2016 with the "Leave Your Legacy" design, and in 2016 to celebrate picking up the 2016 FIFA World Player of the Year award. The 100 boot features a black upper with gold detailing and the American flag inside the Swooshes. The heel of both boots feature '100' in gold to complement the shimmering soleplate.

As you've probably already guessed, they aren't being dropped as a general, or limited edition release. That's the sort of stuff you get when you score a ton for your country. A worthy gesture for a decorated player.
