Nike follow up the launch of their sixth generation Mercurial Superfly by flipping the eccentric on-pitch colourway to create a stunningly low-key edition in a "Black/Total Orange" wrap.

Nike turn the lights off to race in the Superfly shadows as a black Flyknit upper is met with "Total Orange" details to give a more modest finish to the new-look silhouette. The launch of the Mercurial Superfly 360 was always nailed on to be brash and bold, and it delivered in typically daring fashion, but now that Nike have ticked that box they're offering players an alternative vibe.

The launch colourway was the one that Nike turned your head with, this is the colourway that they'll sell to you. It might not feature on the feet of their professional players, but you expect it to fly off the shelves as players snag it worldwide across all levels. The black option allows you to wear Nike's best speed boot (and it is exactly that) without looking like you massively rate yourself. Basically, you can have a bad game in these, but you can't in the orange colourway...

The 360 degree construction and Flyknit collar produce the locked-in fit, and the ribbed Flyknit on the upper brings an element of control to the silo. As with the launch colourway, the "Black/Total Orange" design features that perfectly executed claw-like split soleplate, only this time it boasts a matte finish to sit in line with the overall modest aesthetic.
