A new generation of agility has arrived, as adidas launch the Nemeziz 19 ahead of the rest of the ‘302 Redirect’ pack. The evolved boot comes with a host of enhanced innovations, offering revolutionised 360 agility and performance for the likes of Roberto Firmino, Bernardo Silva, Moise Kean and, of course, Lionel Messi.

It’s been due an upgrade for a while now, but the new Nemeziz 19 finally arrives on the scene, with adidas presenting a retooling that significantly improves on its predecessor. There are times when upgrades don’t really do much to change the aesthetic or even performance of a boot, but that certainly isn’t the case with the Nemeziz 19+, which improves the revolutionary upper construction as well as introducing a new split soleplate.

Debuting in an electric red colourway with a shimmering split silver outsole, the Nemeziz 19+ features a new weave structure and composition, giving an unprecedented fit around the foot. The adaptive tape maximises agility and acceleration for a quicker change in direction, while the new V-shaped tape collar offers easy entry and a perfect wrap around the ankle that doesn’t limit movement. It also gives the Nemeziz 19+ a wild silhouette unlike anything you’ve seen before, building on the legacy that the Nemeziz has created to date.

We’ve had glances of blacked out prototypes of the Nemeziz 19 on the feet of pros over the last few weeks, and it was enough to suitably intrigue. And the finished boot looks superb, delivering on the promise of the early sightings. The opening look finds intricate electronic detailing on the Three Stripes that take their place on the heel, combining brilliantly with the split silver soleplate. The silver pops nicely, contrasting with the red base for a stand-out look. Strong start.

The Nemeziz 19 will also be available in a laced 19.1 version, depending on your preferences, and it arrives as part of the new adidas ‘302 Redirect’ pack, which also sees new designs for the Predator, COPA and a new-generation X. Expect to see them on pitch throughout the remaining 18/19 season games, including 2019 Champions League Final.
