Football has been gone for way too long, but as we edge bit by bit towards a full return adidas has launched an new colourway for the Predator Mutator 20+ in preparation, available exclusively at Pro:Direct Soccer. The colourway nods to the light of the beautiful game emerging from the darkness of lockdown, with stealth-like style interrupted by flashes of “Fluro Pink”.

Back in 2017, Pro:Direct Soccer joined forces with adidas football to launch the ACE 17+ Purecontrol ‘Master Control’ edition, first introducing the combination of classic black boot with vibrant fluro-pink colour pops. Now three years and three generations of boot later, the Predator packs a punch of pink and a beat of black to arrive under the radar in sleek style as the distinctive colourway returns on the most technically advanced version of the silo since the very first incarnation changed the game way back in 1994.

The design of the Pro:Direct Soccer exclusive colourway sees the core black of the boot punctuated by pops of pink through the Three Stripes and, most effectively, through those 460 rubber spikes that protrude through the DemonSkin technology. Further flashes emerge through the Primeknit collar, with the stud tips in the forefoot also including hints.

Not that the stunningly aggressive aesthetic needs it, but the Predator 20+ has already enjoyed some outstanding colourways since its initial launch at the beginning of the year, capped off with the ‘Dragon’ release in May. And this colourway follows in suit, continuing the air of exclusivity thanks to the fact that it will initially only be seen on the feet of selected next-gen players, continuing the celebration of emergence and renewed hope of the new landscape of football.
