Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi has provided the closest look yet at the next-generation adidas Predator 20+ football boots after he slipped into a blackout pair to train in ahead of Arsenal's 1-0 win over Bournemouth on Sunday.

It appears that adidas are into the professional athlete testing phase of their headline boot for 2020 as Guendouzi follows Juventus midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur to take to the training ground in the latest chapter of laceless three striped technology. The Predator 20+ will be one of the most anticipated product releases of the new year after adidas' upgrade from the Predator 18+ to the 19+ plays was barely noticeable.

On first inspection the upper looks to have a dramatic a re-design where a rugged toe-box (which will no doubt provide the trademark Predator ball control) meets a smoother material which is then fused to a slightly higher cut Sock Fit Collar.

Don't expect an imminent release just yet, as the name suggests the Predator 20+ will be launched for the new year and will headline the adidas collection moving into EURO 2020 territory. The Three Stripes do have a tendency to save landmark releases for the end of the year so it wouldn't be unrealistic to see the Predator 20+ in all its glory sometime before we tick into the new decade.
