Heading down the special edition route once more, Nike dress the Phantom out in a trippy 3D-inspired look that’s designed to reveal the three key attributes of Phantom players.

The Phantom GT has had a somewhat disrupted run since its debut last year, thanks in no small part to a certain pesky pandemic. But that didn’t stop Nike rolling out the special edition ‘Scorpion’ design back in October last year, and now that’s followed up by only the second solo strip for the silo since its launch. This here is the Phantom 3D, and it features an eye catching graphic splashed across the upper

The idea of the design is to reveal the three key attributes of Phantom players; those being that they are calculated, instinctive and provocative. Yeah, we’re not totally sure how the design reflects that in all honesty, but the 3D effect is still very cool. The official colourway is “Chlorine Blue/Pink Blast/Opti Yellow”, and it’s splashed across the upper, which features the word ‘Phantom’ written down the side, overlaid by the word ‘Skills’. The graphics wraps around the entire foot, while the Swoosh is then tripled up in the three colourways on both the forefoot and heel, giving the 3D effect.

As usual with the Phantom GT, the Phantom 3D is available in either DF collared version or the low-cut, giving the option of fit and feel.
