Arriving as the first official on-pitch colourway for this latest generation update, PUMA launch the Future Z 1.3 ‘Instinct’, which players will switch into over the coming weeks.

The next generation Future Z 1.3 has been teased over the last few weeks, mostly on the feet of Neymar, first through the special ‘The Batman’ edition, and then shortly after by the subtly titled ‘Teaser Edition’. But now we get our first official look at the boot, with the technology updates brought into full focus ahead of it debuting on pitches across the world.

The Future Z 1.3 ‘Instinct’ arrives in a “Neon Citrus/Diamond Silver/Puma Black” colourway, which sees it in stark contrast to the ‘Eclipse’ edition, which has also dropped today, though in a more lowkey look and one that won’t be worn at the top level of the game. But the ‘Instinct’ colourway will though, and it’ll certainly standout thanks to that hit of “Neon Citrus” in the forefoot.

Tech-wise we see an update to the FUZIONFIT+ Compression Band, which now doesn’t so much wrap around the mid foot as envelope it in a more cone type shape. What it does do though is provide the option of legitimately going laceless, something some pros have done in previous versions of the Future, but that you can now do safe in the knowledge of a locked down fit. Great to have the choice.

A textured 3D grip zone on the lateral side offers enhanced driving and cutting of the ball, while the medial side features a more open, softer pattern for refined touch and control during passing and finishing. On the underside the signature ‘Z’ shaped PEBA Dynamic Motion System outsole provides freedom of movement, and an advanced stud configuration enhances traction.
