Celebrating the illustrious 150-year history of the FA Cup, Mitre have unveiled a special edition version of the Delta Max ball, which will be used exclusively at Wembley in this year’s Emirates FA Cup Final on 14 May between Chelsea and Liverpool.

The FA Cup needs no introduction or fanfare, everyone in the world knows how special the oldest cup competition in the world is. This year it celebrates its 150th anniversary, and as part of those celebrations Mitre have produced a special version of the Delta Max ball for use in the final. Limited to a release of just 150 balls, the design features a graphic celebrating every team to win the competition since 1872, integrated with a subtle heat map design of England and Wales that reflects the tournament’s most successful teams – including Arsenal and Manchester United’s historic dominance.

As well as the features that encapsulate the last 150 years of the competition, the FA Cup final Delta Max boasts a bold gradient of deep reds taken from the prestigious trophy ribbons combined with the return of the iconic heritage Mitre logo and Delta branding.

Taking over from this season's regular FA Cup ball, the special edition is still built for maximum control, accuracy and power, and is engineered with Hyperseam TM Technology – the seams are bonded and stitched, ensuring almost zero water uptake. The debossed surface texture manipulates airflow around the ball for pin-point accuracy and speed.
