It's officially winter. Nike roll out the Hi-Vis edition of their Ordem 2 match ball to be used in Serie A, La Liga and the Premier League from this weekend.

It's that time of the year again when winter creeps into Europe, with fewer daylight hours and darker nights. There was a time when a Hi-Vis ball would be reserved for snow covered pitches but in recent tradition Nike have launched a winter version of their Nike Ordem 2 ball for improved visibility in darker conditions. The standard edition Ordem 2 featured a different colourway for each league but the Hi-Vis will use a consistent yellow/purple/pink combo across all three leagues with just the league logo separating identity.

Now let us seduce you with some filthy tech-talk. The Nike Ordem 2 Hi-Vis ball uses AEROW TRAC grooves for perfect flight trajectory on 12 fuse-welded panels in a three-layer casing system. Nike's RaDaR (Rapid Decision and Response) technology is where it gets clever; The graphic pattern creates a flickering effect as the ball rotates, making it easier for players to see the ball in their peripheral vision, allowing for faster reactions and decision-making.

The Nike Ordem 2 match ball is available from selected online stockists including Pro-Direct Soccer. Feeling it? Drop us a line in the comments.
