As part of a campaign entitled 'Play and Rule', Russian champions Zenit St. Petersburg took to traditional attire with the help of Nike.
A historic and proud city, the FC Zenit players and coaching staff posed for this photo as part of a wider campaign by Nike. The photo was captured in the famous Yusupovsky’s Palace known "for its magnificent receptions and where footballers came to embody their new looks from St. Petersburg in the 19th century."
The 'Blue-White-Sky Blues' played in a special gold shirt to mark the title winning celebrations in their game against Lokomotiv. Andre Villas-Boas commented on the club "Zenit is one of those clubs who is tightly connected with the city and is literally intertwined with its life. That kind of a tight connection is an additional responsibility and motivation both for the club and its coach."
Not a bad way to mark a championship win that saw the team clinch the title with two games to spare.
