Lionel Messi stars in the next episode of adidas Gameday Plus as the Barcelona number 10 talks about some of his favourite goals and moments in the Champions League ahead of his club's clash with Manchester City this week. He's got quite a few to choose from...
Messi picks out his top few finishes, including a demolition of Bayer Leverkusen and a solo wonder strike against Real Madrid, and then it's up to 'Backed By Messi' player Patrick Roberts, of Celtic, to recreate them. Messi will switch into his brand new signature adidas Messi 16+ Space Dust football boots for the first time to mark the return of the Champions League and the return of his old manager Pep Guardiola to the Nou Camp as Man city are in town.
Messi will lace up in the 16.1 edition of the Space Dust boot, rather than the top-spec PureAgility. Not the ideal plan for adidas, but you can't argue with the best player in the world. If he says it's better, who are us mere mortals to argue? Another game, another exclusive colourway, and we wouldn't bet against another goal to go with it.
