Jozy Altidore Debuts Black F50 adizero

Jozy Altidore hits South American soil with the USMNT wearing an unreleased colourway of the new adidas F50 adizero.

This week’s international friendly fixtures saw USA make the trip to Rancagua to take on South American opposition, Chile. Setting aside the result (3-2 to Chile if you’re interested) the main talking point of the match (for us at least) was Jozy Altidore who was taking advantage of what’s most likely to be the next colourway in the new adidas F50 adizero line. To be fair to the big man, the boots worked wonders as he scored for the first time since November 2014.

Some description

Altidore’s boots boasted a black upper with a white “Ghost Graphic” completing the overall look. Adidas have been playing it well recently with some irresistible colourways and they look set for another winner here. Altidore also spruced up his F50’s with some slick personalisation. Following the 2010 Haiti earthquake, Altidore is very much a proud ambassador of Haiti with his boots adorning a US and Haiti flag. Nice touch Jozy.

Some description

The boots will take their place next to the "Solar Red/White/Core Black launch colourway, released as part of the adidas “Haters Pack”. The new F50 adizero is a boot that has undergone some serious upgrades, with a fresh upper and soleplate giving the silo a new lease of life. A newly engineered 3D dribbletex layer on the upper allows for better speed dribbling in wet or dry conditions, while the outsole features a new grip texture and an improved stud configuration including a second level of traction on the forefoot base.

Stay tuned for any official release information. Let us know what you think of the colourway below.
