Roberto Firmino Debuts adidas Nemeziz

Next-level laceless is a matter of days away as contracted adidas players begin to switch into the next chapter of adidas football footwear. The intriguing concept that will arrive as the next adidas project has found its way onto the feet of Liverpool's Roberto Firmino during the club's post/pre-season tour in Australia as the Brazilian jumped the gun.

Firmino becomes the first player to slip into a colourway of the top-end Nemeziz laceless design, with the boot having only been previously seen in blackout form across training pitches worldwide. With the colourway also spotted at the U20 World Cup earlier in the week and with the 2017 Champions League Final just over a week away it would be brave to bet against this eccentric black, white and volt aesthetic to be the official launch edition.

As it stands adidas are still holding their cards close to their chest with this concept, but there are a few things we know for sure already: The boot is called Nemeziz and will sit away from the X and ACE categories as a stand alone silo aimed at attacking players. Leo Messi has already trained in a blackout laced version to indicate he'll front the new collection, and the technology on the boot is dramatically different to that of any of adidas' current silos on the market. The name of the silo? There looks to be a clue running across the heel and forefoot of Firmino's boots.

Some description

New innovations cover the complete silhouette as a new heightened collar in a wrapped-bandage-esque design creates a new look shape on the ankle construction. If the first colourway is anything to go by then adidas will no doubt have a lot of experimental designs for following colourways. All indications point towards a Champions League Final debut, but the players who will wear them are yet to be confirmed by the Three Stripes.
