New Balance are the latest brand to suit up one of their players in their next-generation project as Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey laced up in a mystery hi-collared silhouette at the club's London Colney Training Ground this morning.

Taking on a dramatic shift in design the unreleased New Balance boot sees the most unique interpretation of a knitted hi-collared technology yet with an extended design on the back and front of the boot and a lo-cut drop on the sides to free up the ankles.

Ramsey's new-generation boots are naturally disguised in a blackout cloak to hide any other technology and designs, but it's safe to say that New Balance have got big plans heading into 2018, a World Cup year of course. Ramsey currently wears the Visaro silo, which doesn't yet feature a hi-collared option, nor does any other New Balance boot currently on the market indicating that this could be a totally new silo. If this is to be the first hi-collared boot from the brand then they're certainly doing things in their own unique way.

We've already seen some of adidas' 2018 plans and there will no doubt be more sightings of World Cup footwear on training pitches as the new year approaches. Whatever New Balance have lined up, they'll hoping for Wales to secure a spot in Russia next summer with Ramsey being the lead asset for their next-generation project.
