The adidas Predator 18 Makes a UCL Debut

As the adidas Predator 18 whips up a storm of hype as it makes its highly anticipated comeback there's a new squad of players tasked with writing the new chapter in adidas Football. While the world waited for the drop, the likes of Dele Alli and Ilkay Gundogan were throwing Predator shapes on the Champions League dance-floor on Tuesday night.

The next round of European fixtures provided a first on-pitch look at the Predator 18 collection as a selection of adidas players switched into their new footwear. Both the laceless Predator 18+ and laced Predator 18.1 were on show on Tuesday night, including Dele Alli and Eliaquim Mangala in the 18+, and Ilkay Gundogan, Harry Winks and Real Madrid's Nacho, who scored the first Predator 18 goal, in the 18.1 editions.

Wednesday night saw more players join the Predator party, including Paul Pogba, Ivan Rakitic and Koke all wearing the laceless Predator 18+, while another leading Predator player in Mesut Özil will have to wait until Thursday at the earliest to give a debut to his boots. As we've mentioned in our adidas Predator 18+ review, the boot looks stronger on-pitch as the red burst from the Sock Fit Collar is exposed by the foot, adding a sense of Predator tradition.
