After the launch of the Mercurial 360 last week Nike reserved the next-generation boot for their leading men this weekend. Cristiano Ronaldo took centre stage with his perfect hat-trick against Real Sociedad. That's job done.
Kylian Mbappe (PSG) Nike Mercurial Superfly 360
Kylian Mbappe also sported the Nike Mercurial Superfly 360 at the weekend, but all other Mercurial players will switch into the new-generation boot from this week onwards. Expect a bright orange explosion in the Champions League this week.
Michail Antonio (West Ham) Umbro Velocita 3
West Ham United's Michail Antonio switched into the new Umbro collection this weekend as his side beat Watford. The Velocita 3 is joined by a next-gen UX Accuro and a matching Medusae colour update.
Justin Kluivert (Ajax) Nike Mercurial Puro Fenomeno
Ajax kept the pressure on PSV at the top of the Eredivisie with a 2-1 win over Twente at the weekend. Justin Kluivert was on the scoresheet wearing the signature Neymar Mercurial Puro Fenomeno. The boot was launched as a tribute to the original worn by Ronaldo in 1998 – a year before Kluivert was born.
George Baldock (Sheffield United) Nike Hypervenom
George Baldock has taken things back to 2014 recently after he switched into the first generation Nike Hypervenom. The Sheffield United right back was wearing the "Shine Through" Pack colourway as the Blades completed the double over Leeds United at Bramall Lane.
Ousmane Dembele (Barcelona) Nike Mercurial Vapor 360
Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele couldn't wait to switch into the new Mercurial. With the majority of contracted Swoosh players under instructions to wait until next week to debut the launch colourway, Dembele met them half way by wearing a blacked out edition of the lo-cut Vapor 360.
Pepe (Besiktas) Umbro Medusae II Elite
Former Real Madrid man Pepe opened the scoring in Besiktas' 5-0 win over Karabukspor at the weekend. The Portuguese defender was amongst a number of Umbro players wearing the latest colour collection by sporting the new Medusae II Elite.
Jacob Murphy (Newcastle United) Under Armour Magnetico Pro
Newcastle United gave their hopes of Premier League survival a huge boost on Sunday by beating Man United 1-0 at St James' Park. Jacob Murphy was an unused sub, but was part of the growing number of players to switch into the new Under Armour Magnetico Pro boots.
Tim Cahill (Millwall) New Balance Visaro 2.0
Tim Cahill made his second debut for Millwall on Saturday as the Australian returned to the club. Cahill will be amongst the leading New Balance players at the World Cup in the summer, and he's currently wearing the latest "Maldives Blue" Visaro 2.0 boot.
