As the season kicks into gear across Europe we've taken a look back at the past seven days of action to pick out the best of the boots on show. From throwback gold, to limited edition game, to the latest colourways and releases. Look at us working on a Bank Holiday. Let's go...

Valentino Lazaro (Hertha BSC) adidas Glitch 18

Valentino Lazaro took advantage of the versatile Glitch 18 skins by finding the perfect outer-skin to match up with his club colours during Hertha's DFB Cup first round match against Eintracht Braunschweig. Lazaro was wearing the bold "Devo Skins" pack with disruptive branding.

Eric Dier (Tottenham) Nike PhantomVSN

Nike are continuing to add to their newly assembled PhantomVSN squad. The leading players consist of attacking playmakers including Philippe Coutinho, Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez, but Spurs Eric Dier was getting to grips with the Anti-Clog edition of the youngest silo in training this week.

Dani Carvajal (Real Madrid) Nike PhantomVSN / Hypervenom 3

When a new Nike silo drops players are always curious to trial it in training. Real Madrid full back Dani Carvajal wanted to see how it compared to the Hypervenom 3 series, so he took the unusual tactic of sticking one of the "Raised on Concrete" pack on each foot.

Kyle Walker-Peters (Tottenham) adidas Glitch 18

Tottenham youngster Kyle Walker-Peters switched into the latest adidas Glitch "Prep Skins" pack in training this week. The colourway starts as an all white design but turns to blue when activated by heat to reveal some distinct adidas text. Clever, that.

Phil Foden (Manchester City) Nike PhantomVSN

Nike have placed a strong emphasis on youth with the launch of their new PhantomVSN silo. While most players have been wearing the "Raised on Concrete" colourway, a number of younger players such as Phil Foden have moved into the "Rising Fire" pack.

Aleksei Rios (Bate Borisov) adidas Predator Mania Champagne

There was throwback representation in Champions League qualifying this week as Bate Borisov's Aleksei Rios laced up in the re-issued adidas Predator Mania Champagne. The limited edition drop landed in May 2017 to celebrate 15 years since the launch of the original.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool) Under Armour Magnetico Pro

Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold was amongst a number of Under Armour athletes to switch into the latest "Radio Red" Magnetico colourway this week. The England youngster pick up two wins in his new wheels against Crystal Palace and Brighton.

Marco Bizot (AZ Alkmaar) New Balance Furon 4.0

AZ Alkmaar goalkeeper Marco Bizot switched into the most recent blackout design from New Balance this week. The likes of Sadio Mane have remained in the brighter coloured option of the Furon 4.0 but Bizot is keeping things low key by wearing the dark edition of the black and white pack.

David Luiz (Chelsea) Nike Premier

David Luiz looks to be in the process of discussing a new contract with Nike. The Chelsea defender has been wearing the black and white Nike Premier in pre-season but has recently blacked out the Swoosh to indicate that his contract may have expired.

German Delfino (Referee) Nike Mercurial Vapor CR7

Superliga referee German Delfina took to the middle to oversee Huracan and Boca Juniors this week wearing the signature Cristiano Ronaldo Mercurial Vapor Chapter 3 boots. A smart match up with his ref kit but still an odd choice... probably wouldn't get away with it in Serie A.
