PUMA's recent recruitment drive powers on as Bayern Munich midfielder Serge Gnabry becomes the latest player to be spotted training in a blacked out next-generation boot from the brand.

PUMA appear to be using their next generation project as a tool to lure new signings into their squad. They've already dished out a pair to Liverpool centre back Virgil van Dijk, and now they've set their sights on another Nike player – tricky German winger Serge Gnabry. The addition of both of those aforementioned players would be huge coups for PUMA, with van Dijk growing into one of the best defenders in the world, and Gnabry packing that stylish flair on and off the pitch that pushes all the right buttons for brands.

As for the boots themselves, what we're looking at here is undoubtably the next generation of the PUMA Future series. A developed version of the Netfit technology is present on the upper, along with a much busier and distinctive graphic element across the entire boot, from toe to heel. The update is set to arrive as part of PUMA's first moves of 2019 and PUMA will be hoping to have tied down a deal with Gnabry in time for the boot to launch – assuming that his current Nike deal has expired, or expires at the turn of the new year.
