This week Boot Spotting takes in games from Women’s International tournaments along with domestic action from across Europe to supply the required dose of new releases, special editions, throwback classics and custom creations. Ready? Let’s go…
Rodrigo Bentancur (Juventus) adidas Copa Mundial 21
Has there been a better special edition pack release then the Adidas Eternal Class? OK, possibly, but all four boots were works of art. Rodrigoi Bentancur was kind enough to show off the black Copa Mundial in Juve's 1-1 draw with Verona this weekend.
Martina Rosucci (Italy Women) adidas Copa Mundial 21
So good it's worth seeing twice. Martina Rosucci wore it in Italy's resounding victory over Israel in the Women's Championship, striking home the seventh from the spot in what ended as a 12-0 win. Ridiculous performance, ridiculously good boot.
Antoine Griezmann (Barcelona) Next Gen PUMA Ultra
Antoine Griezmann became the latest player to give us a sneak peek at the upcoming next generation of the PUMA Ultra as he wore them in training this week. This look certainly suggests that the upper has been reworked. Not a lot else to be told other than it still looks to be sleek and speedy. Expect nothing less.
Rose Lavelle (USWNT) New Balance Tekela v3
USWNT midfielder Rose Lavelle continues to be one of the main faces for New Balance, and she is once again the first to debut the upcoming colourway of the Tekela v3, which she wore in the SheBelieves Cup match against Argentina, setting up the first in a 6-0 win.
Paul Pogba (Manchester United) adidas Predator 19+ PP
Interesting spot from the training session ahead of Manchester United's Europa League game against Real Sociedad, with Paul Pogba wearing his signature adidas Predator 19+. Did he forget his Predator Freaks and that was all he had, or did he just fancy dipping into the archive?
Dara OShea (West Bromich Albion) adidas Predator Absolute 21
Back with the adidas Eternal Class pack (just can't get enough of it!) and West Brom's Dara O'shea opted for the Predator Absolute from the first drop of the pack in his side's 0-0 draw with Burnley. Honestly, these were pretty much the highlight from that game.
Helder Costa (Leeds United) Nike Mercurial Vapor XIII
Nice bit of special edition action on the feet of Hélder Costa this week, as the midfielder wore the Nike Mercurial Vapor XIII CR7 'Safari' in his side's 1-0 loss to Aston Villa.
Alexandre Lacazette (Arsenal) Nike Mercurial Vapor XIII
Lacazette caught the eye in training this week with a pair of Nike Mercurial Vapor XIII, specially customised by @swithadot. Dubbed “MinionzetteS”, the design features the colour scheme of the Arsenal third kit, with two minions replicating the strikers goal celebrations. Sadly these weren't worn when Laca played and scored in the subsequent game against Leicester.
Ki-Jana Hoever (Wolverhampton Wanderers) adidas F50 Adizero IV
Ki-Jana Hoever was hard to miss in his side's 1-1 with Newcastle, wearing the adidas F50 Adizero IV "Neon Pink/Running White/Solar Blue" colourway – as eye catching now as it was when released back in 2014.
Alex Sandro (Juventus) Nike Mercurial Vapor XII
More from Juventus's 1-1 with Verona, this time from Alex Sandro, who played in the Nike Mercurial Vapor XII from the 'Just Do It' pack, released for the 2018 World Cup.
James Ward-Prowse (Southampton) Nike Tiempo Legend VI
What's the secret to a perfect free kick? Well looks like for James Ward-Prowse a big part of it is comfort, and that's why he's been sticking with the Nike Tiempo Legend line of late. In training this week he opted for the "Black/Black/Volt" Tiempo VI from the 2016 'Academy Pack'.
