Global Boot Spotting

Fixtures finished on a flourish ahead of another international break, giving plenty of new releases, special editions, customs creations and throwback classics for this week’s Boot Spotting. Let’s see what made the list…

Koke (Atletico Madrid) adidas Predator Pulse

We saw him giving them a run out in training ahead of their official launch last week, but now Atletico Madrid's Koke has debuted the new Predator Pulse from the adidas 'UCL Pack' in his side's 2-1 win over AC Milan in the Champions League. The pack sees the aforementioned Predator Pulse alongside the F50 Ghosted, both wrapped in the iconic silver, blue and purple hues of Europe's premier competition.

Bobby Clark (Liverpool U18) adidas F50 Ghosted

Arriving as the second pair of the adidas 'UCL Pack', the F50 Ghosted was supposed to be worn by Real Madrid's Karim Benzema in the Champions League game against Sheriff, but the Frenchman opted against them, wearing them for only part of his side's game against Espanyol. But Liverpool's U18 talent, Bobby Clark wore them in his side's 3-0 win over Sunderland U18, providing the assist for the second.

Memphis Depay (Barcelona) Under Armour Magnetico SL

Memphis Depay's contract with Under Armour ended back in the summer, but that hasn't stopped the Dutchman from wearing boots from the American brand, nor has it stopped them seemingly supplying him with signature colourways, the latest of which was on display in Barca's 2-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Guro Reiten (Chelsea Women) adidas Predator Freak .1 low

Back in the summer we saw the adidas 'EQT Pack' drop, but only in select parts of the world, with Europe sadly not one of them. While we eagerly await an official drop over here, Chelsea's Guro Reiten gave us a timely reminder of exactly what we're missing when scored the opener in the Predator Freak .1 from the pack for her side's 3-1 win against Brighton.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal) Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly I

Always worth keeping an eye on Arsenal strike duo Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette, with one or the other regularly featuring in this list. This week it's the turn of the former, as he turned out for training in the original Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly I, which originally debuted back in 2009.

Kobbie Mainoo (Manchester United U18) adidas Nitrocharge 1.0

Couple of spots from the U18 match between Manchester United and Newcastle United, and first up was Kobbie Mainoo, who caught the eye in the adidas Nitrocharge 1.0 from the 2014 'Battle Pack', released for the World Cup.

Isak Hansen-Aaroen (Manchester United U18) Nike Hypervenom Phantom I

Sticking with that match, and Man United's Isak Hansen-Aaroen was also a hard one to miss in the OG Nike Hypervenom Phantom I. United went on to beat Newcastle 5-0 in the game.

Lorent Tolaj (Brighton U23) adidas X Speedflow .1 El Retorno

Lionel Messi marked his return to the X franchise with a signature pair of X Speedflow back in June, dubbed 'El Retorno'. Brighton's U23 player Lorent Tolaj obviously took a shine to them, wearing them this week in the 3-0 loss to Arsenal U23.

Claudiu Petrila (CFR 1907 Cluj) Nike Mercurial Superfly CR7

From one GOAT signature edition to another, and in the UEFA Europa Conference League this week Claudiu Petrila scored an equaliser for CFR 1907 Cluj against Randers in the Nike Mercurial Superfly CR7 'Spark Positivity'. The game finished 1 a-piece.

Jay Chapman (Inter Miami) Nike Mercurial Vapor IX

Crossing the pond, and Inter Miami's Jay Chapman played in the 1-0 defeat to Atlanta United in the Nike Mercurial Vapor IX, which originally dropped back in 2013.

Gonzalo Higuain (Inter Miami) Nike Phantom GT NBY

The match between Inter Miami and Atlanta United also saw Gonzalo Higuain showing off his Nike Phantom GT, customised using the Nike By You service to match the colours of his team's kit.

Beth McKay (Heart of Midlothian) adidas PredCopX

Back in May, adidas dropped a monster mashup that combined elements of all three of their main silos. Heart of Midlothian's Beth McKay wore them for her side's 3-0 defeat to Hibernian this week.
