Global Boot Spotting

Covering all corners to bring you the best new and upcoming releases, special editions custom creations and throwback classics in use by the professionals of the game. It’s Monday, it’s Boot Spotting. Let’s go…

Sadio Mane (Liverpool) New Balance Furon v6+

New Balance dropped what was only their second pack of the season today with the 'Tri Aura' pack, but their roster was already in them last week, with main man Mane leading the line, as always, in the Furon v6+.

Emile Smith Rowe (Arsenal) adidas X Speedflow .1

Looks like Emile Smith Rowe has all but sealed his switch to adidas, after playing – and scoring – in the 'Diamond Edge' X Speedflow .1 this weekend against Manchester United. The playmaker has been training in the boots recently, but this marks the first "on-pitch" appearance.

Pepe Rodrigues (FC Famalicao) Nike Tiempo Legend IX

First site of an unreleased colourway for the Nike Tiempo Legend IX on the feet of FC Famalicao's Pepe Rodrigues this weekend. Looking at the recent delay to Tiempo releases, logic would suggest that this could well be the 'Progress Pack' look.

Oussama Darfalou (PEC Zwolle) Upcoming adidas X Speedflow

Over to the Eredivisie, and Oussama Darfalou was spotted in what looks to be a version of the adidas X Speedflow, wrapped up to look like the 2014 'Battle Pack'. An upgrade to gold Three Stripes looks to be the main point of difference to the look of the OG collection. Expecting this one to arrive sooner rather than later...

Alexandre Lacazette (Arsenal) Nike Mercurial Air Zoom Ultra

Whether he's in the team or not, you can always rely on Lacazette for a bit of boot spotting. This week the Frenchman was seen on the training ground in the special edition Nike Mercurial Air Zoom Ultra.

Sergio Ramos (PSG) Mizuno Morelia Neo III Beta

Sergio Ramos is now Mizuno's main man, and the PSG defender laced up in the recent 'Below Zero' colourway of the Morelia Neo III Beta for his side's 1-1 with Lens.

Paulo Henrique Ganso (Fluminense) adidas adiPure

Over to Brazil, and Fluminense's no. 10, Ganso caught the eye in his side's 1-0 loss to Internacional, wearing the adiPure from the adidas Legends Pack, which originally dropped back at the beginning of last December. Timeless.

Rafal Gikiewicz (FC Augsburg) Tru Tenaci

For all its unoriginality, what with Bayern winning their 10th title in a row, the Bundesliga did throw us a nice little surprise in the rare sighting of the Tru Tenaci in action at the top level, with FC FC Augsburg's Rafal Gikiewicz lacing up in the brand's first-ever boot. Unfortunately they couldn't stop Lewandowski scoring an inevitable goal to win 1-0.

Christian Pulisic (Chelsea) PUMA Ultra 1.4

Christian Pulisic scored his first goal in the hard-to-miss silvery hues of the Ultra 1.4 'Instinct'. The goal came late on in Chelsea's important late win against West Ham.

Anthony Caceres (Sydney FC) Mizuno Morelia Wave

Anthony Caceres thought he had a plan to fight fire with fire when he came off the bench in Sydney FC's Champions League clash with Japanese side Yokohama FM. He wore the Mizuno Morelia Wave, but it didn't quite work out, with his side slumping to a 3-0 defeat.

Hakan Calhanoglu (Inter Milan) Nike Mercurial Superfly 8

Hakan Calhanoglu likes to switch up his boots, and he showed off a great custom job Mercurial Superfly 8 in this week's 3-1 win against Roma, fully utilising the Nike By You service with an off-white look accented by gold.
