Jordyn Huitema Shows Off Upcoming Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Colourway

Just ahead of the official retail launch of the new Nike Air Zoom Mercurial, Canada’s Jordyn Huitema has given us a preview of an upcoming colourway for the Vapor XV in the friendly match against South Korea.

So the Nike Air Zoom Mercurial is available to buy from tomorrow in its launch colourway, but we’re already getting previews of a couple of upcoming colourways that will likely drop in the coming weeks and months. First up we got a good look at the Nike Bonded Pack, courtesy of the England Lionesses, and now we get a look at an as-yet unnamed colourway on the feet of Canad’a Jordyn Huitema in her side’s 0-0 friendly with South Korea, and we anticipate it will be the look of Nike’s pack to kick off the new season.

The launch look for the new Air Zoom Mercurial sees a fresh aesthetic that ensures everyone is aware about just what this boot is all about, with the iconic Swoosh that usually runs down the side of the boot making way for the big and bold “Air” branding. Then for the Bonded Pack it appears like it’s as you were, with the Swoosh back in place and no sign of the “Air” graphic. But this new colourway provides a third option, with the Swoosh in place on the lateral side, and the “Air” treatment switching to the medial side.

The rest of the look is suitably bright, bold and eye catching, arriving in a vibrant yellow look, combining with hits of pink.

For those not yet in the know, the Air Zoom Mercurial is set to feature a whole aft of new technologies, most notably the articulated, three-quarter length Zoom airbag – Nike’s first-ever soccer-specific Zoom Air unit – which sits directly inside of the plate of the boot, bringing the foot closer to the ground for an even greater sense of snappy, propulsive energy return.
