Global Boot Spotting

Preseason is well underway, and with the majority of sides across Europe getting up to speed we get a look at what some of the biggest players on the planet are choosing to return to action in. From new releases to special editions, with some classics chucked in for good measure, we round up the biggest and the best for this week's Boot Spotting.

Sergio Ramos (PSG) Mizuno Morelia Neo III SR4

Sergio Ramos got his first signature edition boot from Mizuno last week, and he promptly made the switch into the Morelia Neo III β ‘SR4’, which features a design inspired by his tattoos and trophies.

Kylian Mbappe (PSG) Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Superfly IX

Nike unleashed the all-new Air Zoom Mercurial on us at a time when there was actually very little football going on, so we've had to wait until now to see thee pros lacing it up for preseason. Prime among them is Kylian Mbappe, who wore the Superfly IX for PSG's trip to Japan.

Adam Ounas (Napoli) Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Vapor XV

Joining Mbappe in the launch look for the Air Zoom Mercurial was Napoli's Adam Ounas, who showed off the Vapor XV edition.

Neymar (PSG) PUMA Future Z 1.3

Another spot from PSG's trip to Japan, with Neymar showing off an upcoming colourway for the Future Z 1.3. Could be a new signature look, or could be a wider release, we'll have to wait and see.

Pogba (Juventus) adidas Predator Edge .1

New (old) club for Paul Pogba, and along with it comes a new pair of boots, with the France midfielder lacing up in the upcoming colourway for the adidas Predator Edge .1. Already been seen on the pitches at Euro 2022, so expecting this one imminently.

Mo Salah (Liverpool) adidas X Speedportal .1

The next generation X Speedportal is set to be the focal point of adidas's next pack release, and bearing in mind it's been on display for a few weeks no at Euro 2022, and now on the feet of the likes of Mo Salah, it's got to be arriving imminently. Feel like we've been saying that for a while now...

Zidane Iqbal (Manchester United) PUMA Future Z 1.3

Zidane Iqbal has been getting some decent game time on Manchester United's preseason tour Down Under, as Ten Hag runs the rule over some of his fringe players. And the Iraq national certainly caught our eye, wearing the PUMA Future Z 1.3 'Glow in the Dark' edition.

Raheem Sterling (Chelsea) New Balance Furon v6+

Raheem Sterling gets his life as a Chelsea player underway, and he's done so in the New Balance 'Vivid Spark' colourway of the Furon v6+.

Joshua Kimmich (Bayern Munich) Nike Phantom GT prototype

Rabbi Matondo (Rangers) Nike Mercurial Vapor XIII

Rabbi Matondo played a starring role in Rangers' 2-1 preseason win over Blackpool, and following his switch to the Scottish side from Schalke, it also looks like he may be switching brands. The Welsh international had been a PUMA athlete, but played in this match in the Nike Mercurial Vapor XIII 'Future DNA'.

Nani (Melbourne Victory) adidas F50 adizero II

Manchester United came up against a familiar face on their preseason tour Down Under, with Nani coming off the bench for the final few minutes in the 4-1 loss for his side, Melbourne Victory. He did so in the "Blue/White/Energy" colourway of the adidas F50 adizero II, originally released in 2012.
