In this week’s Boot Spotting, brought to you in partnership with Pro:Direct Soccer, we get more preseason games bringing us the latest new releases in action, along with some classics and releases you don't often see at the top level.
Erling Haaland (Man City) adidas X Speedportal .1
Erling Haaland played his first match for Manchester City – scoring, naturally – against Bayern Munich, and he did so in the X Speedportal .1, further fuelling speculation about whether a deal with adidas has been reached. Still nothing official though...
Jordyn Huitema (Canada) Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Vapor XV
This new colourway for the Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Vapor XV was spotted on the feet of Canada's Jordyn Huitema a fair few weeks ago now, but it has now officially been revealed as the "Lucent Pack", and a "Yellow Strike/Sunset Glow/Barely Grape" colourway. Coming soon to Pro:Direct Soccer.
Pedri (Barcelona) adidas COPA Sense +
A typically fiery Clasico took place yesterday in Paradise, Nevada, and Pedri caught the eye in the brightly coloured adidas COPA Sense + from the "Game Data" pack.
Sergio Ramos (PSG) Mizuno Morelia Neo III SR4
We got a first look at Sergio Ramos in his new signature Morelia Neo III β ‘SR4’ from Mizuno in training last week, and now the defender has debuted them in a match against Kawasaki Frontale during the club's preseason tour of Japan.
Neymar (PSG) PUMA Future Z 1.4
The PUMA Future Z 1.4 'Fastest Pack' is another that we saw last week, but that has since been officially released, arriving in a "Parisian Night/Fizzy Light/Pistachio" colourway, as debuted by Neymar in the match against Urawa Reds.
Kylian Mbappe (PSG) Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Superfly IX
Kylian Mbappe was able to give the Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Superfly IX – in its launch look – a winning debut in PSG's match against Kawasaki Frontale, and he followed that up by scoring in them against Urawa Reds and Gamba Osaka.
Ellen White (England) adidas Predator Edge .1
Ellen White continues to lead the line for the Lionesses as they charge towards the final, and she does so in the Adidas Predator Edge .1 low, from the "Game Data" pack.
Thiago (Liverpool) adidas Predator Pulse
Not many better sights in world football than Thiago in a pair of adidas Predator Pulse, originally released as part of the "Legends Pack" back in December last year. Just feels right, doesn't it?
Morgan Gibbs-White (Wolverhampton Wanderers) Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Vapor XV
Not often you get to see brands' blackout packs on the feet of the pros, so worth a shout when you do. Here, it's Wolves' Morgan Gibbs-White in the utterly seductive Air Zoom Mercurial Vapor XV from the Nike Shadow Pack.
John Brayford (Burton Albion) Nike Premier II
Finally for this week, the preseason essential that is the Nike Premier, which Burton Albion's John Brayford wore in his side's 0-1 friendly loss to Nottingham Forest. This is actually the older Premier II model in the "Bright Crimson/Black/Lemon Twist" colourway. But honestly? We'd take any Premier.
