Global Boot Spotting

Another week, another round of Boot Spotting, as we search the globe for the best new and upcoming releases and special editions brought into focus alongside some potential brand swaps and new deals, with Erling Haaland possibly one step closer to finalising his boot future. Lot to cover, let’s get going…

Erling Haaland (Manchester City) Nike Phantom GX Link

The whole Erling Haaland boot saga looks like it could well be nearing its conclusion, and it looks like it will be Nike who emerge from the melee with his name once again signed to a contract. The latest indication of this came when Haaland played in the latest Nike Phantom GX 'Link' colourway, scoring the only goal against Crystal Palace.

Phil Foden (Manchester City) Nike Phantom GX Link

Another player in the City ranks to lace up the new Phantom GX 'Link' colourway was Phil Foden, however, unlike Haaland, Foden only wore them in training, opting for the 'Blast Pack' colourway for the Place match.

Aurelien Tchouameni (Real Madrid) Nike Phantom GX DF 'Link'

Aurélien Tchouaméni is one of the first athletes to show off the collared Dynamic Fit version of the Nike Phantom GX 'Link', which comes complete with the Ghost Lace System. The Frenchman wore them in the 3-1 win against Espanyol this weekend.

Jude Bellingham (Borussia Dortmund) Unreleased adidas Predator Accuracy .1 low

Jude Bellingham played in Dortmund's 2-2 draw with Schalke on the weekend in an unreleased colourway of the adidas Predator Accuracy .1 low, suggesting that this one will be on the way any day now...

Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) New Balance Furon v7

New Balance released the 'Rare Force' pack last week, presenting clean whiteout versions of the Furon v7 and Tekela v4, and Bukayo Saka laced up in the former for Arsenal's 3-0 win over Fulham on Sunday.

Sheila Garcia (Atletico Madrid Femenino) New Balance Tekela v4

Sheila Garcia wore the New Balance 'Rare Force' Tekela v4, scoring in Atletico Madrid Femenino's 3-0 Copa de la Reina quarter final win over Granada.

Vinicius Jr. (Real Madrid) Nike Mercurial Vapor XIV

Vinicius Jr.'s dispute with Nike shows no sign of being resolved, with the Brazilian reportedly still looking to cancel his contract with the brand. This week he played in a whiteout version of the Mercurial Vapor XIV, personlaised by boot customiser, SWithADot.

Kylian Mbappe (PSG) Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Superfly IX

Nike honored Kylain Mbappe's achievement of becoming PSG's all-time leading scorer by giving him a special version of the Air Zoom Mercurial Superfly IX, decking it out to look like the Mercurial Vapor XI, the boot he scored his first PSG goal in. Mbappe was expected to wear them against Bayern in the Champions League, but he instead debuted them this weekend, fittingly scoring a 90th minute winner in the La Liga match against Brest.

Feroz Baharudin (JDT FC) Mizuno Morelia Neo III β Shining

Last week, Mizuno released the Morelia Neo III β in a “White/Hologram/Cool Gray” colourway that the Japanese brand called ‘Shining’. Over in the Malaysia Super League we got a first glimpse of it on the feet of Feroz Baharudin, who plays for table topping Johor Darul Ta'zim F.C.

Manuel Akanji (Manchester City) PUMA Future Ultimate

Another player in the Manchester City ranks has made the switch from Nike to PUMA, with Manuel Akanji following in Jack Grealish's footsteps to lace up in the Future Ultimate 'Supercharge' colourway. PUMA leveraging their position as the club's technical sponsor...

Naby Keita (Liverpool) adidas COPA Pure+

Looks like a lot of change on the horizon for Liverpool midfielder, Naby Keita, with rumours suggesting that his time with the club may end this summer. And it looks like you can possibly add to that a new boot deal, with the Guinea midfielder currently playing in the black out version of the adidas COPA Pure+.
