Global Boot Spotting: Tournament Edition

The tournaments are well underway as a summer of football commences, so it’s only right that we round up the boots that have been stealing the spotlight when it matters most. From fresh drops to custom creations to eye-catching colourways, each boot is as bold as the ballers wearing them. Let’s get into it…

Rodri (Manchester City) Nike Phantom 6 Fear Nothing High

Rodri is back in full flow for Man City and it is great to see him back on the pitch. The Ballon D'or winner dons the all-new Phantom 6 high cut in it's stunning new colourway from Nike's latest pack. Clean.

Jobe Bellingham (Borussia Dortmund) adidas Predator FT Elite Road to Glory

There is a new Bellingham at BVB and he goes by Jobe. We might just have the new star boy on our hands. He may wear the same adidas Preds as his brother but Jobe's football ability stands on it's own, making a name for himself on one of the biggest stages at the Club World Cup. After only signing for Dortmund a few days tournament, the Birmingham boy has already checked off his first start and first goal for the club. Not bad at all...

Alessandro Bastoni (Inter Milan) PUMA Future 8 x KidSuper

The Inter defender is locking up wingers with one of the craziest pairs of boots on foot. The PUMA x KidSuper collab has brought us some pure genius designs, whether it is kits or boots, and this Future is nothing short of a work of art. This is proof we need more fashion and football boot collabs.

Lionel Messi (Inter Miami) adidas F50 Elite x Messi

Messi is really showing us the greatest never lose it. Even after moving to the MLS, the 37-year-old is still bossing the game at the highest levels, scoring a wonder freekick (again) at the Club World Cup. Of course he's lacing up his very own signature boot whilst humbling the oppisition, we are used to it. He's not finished yet...

Kevin Zenon (Boca Juniors) Blackened Nike Mercurial Vapor XVI Elite Fear Nothing

No one does rivalry quite like Boca Juniors, this is as good as petty gets. Boca players including Zenon were seen donning the latest Nike Mercurial, however with the classic red colourway blackened out. None of them want to be caught dead in the River plate red of their rivals. This is proper football.

Achraf Hakimi (PSG) Unreleased Under Armour Shadow

UA are cooking something up here, and who better to test run something new than their main man Hakimi. The monochrome look with disruptive graphics on the upper, we've seen this one before...

Nick Woltemade (Germany U21s) adidas F50 Elite LL Road To Glory

The young German star is writing his own story, carrying his national team to the semi-finals of the U21 Euros. Modelling the 'Road To Glory' F50's as he paves his own way to glory. This pack is one of the cleanest of the year, you can't go wrong with white, black and gold. Don't forget the name Nick Woltemade.

Olivier Giroud (LAFC) PUMA Ultra 5 x KidSuper

A personal favoruite. These boots are a thing of beauty. Something about pink boots that just looks so good on the pitch. Giroud is showing off his style and finesse. Regardless of how LAFC do in this tournament, the French legend is winning in these.

Guga (Fluminense) Nike Mercurial x AM95

The Brazilian baller is bringing the streets to the Club World Cup and it goes hard. Repping the AM95 Mercurials in the New York heat. Class. The South Americans know how it's done.

Darijan Bojanic (Ulsan HD) Mizuno Morelia Made In Japan Ruby Red

Ulsan Hd and Darijan Bojanic may not be the stars of the Club World Cup, however his boot choice is undoubtedly class. The Mizuno Morelia is one of the most sophisticated and smart boots on the market, especially in this Ruby Red colourway.

Leandor Bacuna (Curacao ) adidas F50 Elite 2010 Edition

Bacuna bringing some 2010 nostalgia to the Gold Cup as he represents Curacao. Seeing these back on the pitch is an instant throwback and we love it. Keep them coming.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan (Inter Milan) Custom Nike Mercurial Superfly

Unc has still got it. Mkhitaryan is still playing at the top level and is looking to salvage the Italians giants' season with some silverware this summer. He moves away from the classic boot colourways and opts for some custom Supeflys. Safe to say they look great with that new Inter home kit.

Jonathon David (Canada) adidas Predator Moments

The Lille forward laces up a stunner during Canada's Gold Cup run with the Pred Moments. Contender of boot of the year. Embodies everything the Predator silo should be whilst paying tribute to two legendary players. David knows ball.

Fafa Picault (Inter Miami) PUMA x Pro:Direct Ultra Racetrack Miami

Nothing says the 305 more than the PUMA Ultra Racetrack x Miami so it's only right that Inter Miami star Fafa Picault laces them up. The pinks, the blues, it's a perfect match. One of the hardest kit-boot pairings of the tournament.
