Xabi Alonso has given us our first on-pitch look at the next-generation adidas 11Pro launch colourway.
The Bayern Munich midfielder has been at the forefront of adidas prototype testing this season, he's already been spotted in a mystery unreleased silo and now Alonso has laced up in the upcoming adidas 11Pro which is set for an official release later this week.
Heritage boot fans will be pleased to see adidas taking the 11Pro series back to the adiPure roots by launching their next generation boot in a predominantly black and white colourway that features a single line of bright orange from the toe to the tip of the tongue, which continues down the heel.
The seventh generation of the 11Pro follows the current version of the boot that was launched as early as March this year with adidas quickly making improvements to the silo. A clutch of new tech improvements will be revealed in the coming days but we can see that a new comfort styled soleplate has been introduced as well as a skeleton structure embedded in the upper for increased support. Visuals wise adidas have extended the Three Stripes to meet the sole of the boot and there's no sign of any stitching on the forefoot found on the current model.
Toni Kroos (pictured above) was the first player to appear in the all new 11Pro series earlier this month when he gave a run out to a pair of whiteout designs but with just a few days left until the official unveil adidas have hooked Alonso up with a pair of the Core Black/White/Flash Orange launch editions. Alonso has floated between the Nitrocharge and Predator since moving out of the 11Pro and the updated model may well provide him with a way back into the boot.
Stay tuned for the full reveal of the new adidas 11Pro but in the mean time let us know what you think. Drop your comments below.
