After his recent conversion from the evoSPEED Olivier Giroud has laced up in the second-generation PUMA evoPOWER at Arsenal's London Colney Training Ground today.
The evoPOWER 1.2 is set to kick off PUMA's 2015 line-up, a year after the silo was launched, and an early prototype of the boot has already been spotted on the feet of Chelsea's Cesc Fabregas. As PUMA edge closer to a launch date they've hooked up Giroud with a pair to get a feel of ahead of the unveil in the new year.
PUMA look to have introduced redesigned AccuFoam elements, which cover a larger area of the upper than the current model for added power. The trademark external EverFit cage remains on the instep and PUMA are set to land an evoSPEED-esque GripTex technology on the forefoot to upgrade the performance of the evoPOWER 1.2 in wet weather conditions.
On the outstep of the boot we're looking at a much busier ribbed design than the current edition as PUMA tweak the silo after an indisputably successful debut year. Keep your eyes peeled for Yaya Toure, Nemanja Matic and Mario Balotelli joining Giroud in the black-outs in the coming weeks.
Stay tuned as we'll bring you more on the PUMA evoPOWER 1.2 nearer the launch date but for now let us know what you think. Leave your comments downstairs.
