Swiss international midfielder Valentin Stocker reveals the next-generation F50 adizero as adidas begin to deliver the new speed boot to their crop of F50 players.
We've seen numerous players (including Gareth Bale & Luis Suarez) training in blacked-out versions of the unreleased adizero, but Hertha Berlin's Stocker has become the first player to appear in training wearing the official launch colourway as the black-out wrap is peeled off.
With the scheduled release date in sights, adidas have supplied their players with the new generation lightweight boot to get accustomed to before the on-pitch embargo is lifted. Stocker's F50's will land as the sixth of the adizero series and feature a single, one-piece upper designed with an all over scale-like pattern. The bold and bright red two-tone design will touchdown as the offical launch colourway of the updated silo and sports a change in direction of branding as adidas remove the famous three stripes in favour of a scattered pattern on the out-steps.
The one-piece upper is sure to be hit with players after the criticism of the SpeedFoil material that features on the current F50 edition. The eagle-eyed will also have noticed that the SprintFrame technology on the heel counter has been replaced with an entirely new outsole.
Real Madrid's Gareth Bale trains in a prototype version in December 2014.
