In showcasing favourite shirts from Sheffield United, designer Liam Proniewicz took an illustrated stroll down memory lane with these kit illustrations.
Illustrated with a chalk effect, they look as good as ever, a contemporary cut the likelihood of a shirt from the mid 90s fitting this good might be one for the imagination rather. Realistically oversized was a little cool and they just didn't look as on point as they do today. Never a bad thing, simply one of the sweet charms of the 90s.
From Le Coq Sportif to Umbro, it seems many a brand have graced the Sheffield United shirt. Varying sponsors too, the appearance of these additional features is one thing that has become reduced to mere acrylic over embossed felt as performance elements champion over finer aesthetic details.
All in all, a simply awesome collection of work from Liam. You can see more of his work here.
