Continuing his concept collaboration series, designer SETTPACE has paired Premier League champions Liverpool with global creative collective McQ, the new offshoot from Alexander McQueen.
For those that are unfamiliar, McQ is more than just a label, it’s a revolutionary new platform powered by a global collective rather than a single creative director. Does it hint at the future of creative collaboration? Quite possibly. And here, designer SETTPACE has opted to pair the power of the collective up with Liverpool FC for the next instalment in the fantasy collaboration series.
Existing within this exclusive space, it may appear an unlikely hook up in the real world, but that’s what this specialist series is all about – taking what we may never see and running with it, playing out a ‘what if’ scenario.
This isn’t the first time SETTPACE has focused on Liverpool, having paired the Premier League side up with French luxury fashion house, Maison Margiela in the past. For Liverpool x McQ, we get a black base with a trippy yellow biology-inspired graphic spread out across the shirt. The club crest, sponsor and branding are all presented in corresponding black and yellow colourings.
