Dutch football jersey customisers 'Blood In Blood Out' have created another crisp mash-up shirt for Edgar Davids and unveiled in on the day that his former teams were draw together in the 2019 Champions League Quarter Finals.
Davids' began his career at Ajax, playing 106 games for the club between 1991-96 before brief spell at AC Milan led to his move to Juventus, where he played 159 games in seven years. The appearance count for both respective clubs means that Juve and Ajax with the Dutchmans most played for teams in his entire career. Barnet were his fourth most if you were wondering.
Davids' jersey is made up of two shirts. The Ajax x Umbro 1996 home shirt and the Juventus x Kappa 1999 home shirt. A very tasty pairing. A personal touch when it comes to players and their different club timelines, but a strategy that has been picked up on by Nike in recent months with the launch of their mash up shirts,ย including their latest work to celebrate their 20th year with Inter Milan.
This isn't the first time that Blood In Blood Out have created mash up jerseys for players to tell the story of their careers. Ruud van Nistelrooy, Jari Litmanen, Wesley Sneijder,ย Daniรซlle van de Donk, and Samuel Eto'o to name just a few have allย received the full mash up treatment.ย
