Following the launch of the all-new Predator 24, vintage and reworked clothing retailers Vintage Threads has teamed up with adidas to create an exclusive Predator-Inspired Reworked Collection.
The adidas Predator 24 perfectly balances that pure 90s nostalgia with the relentless performance of today. The world was pretty much sold on the concept the moment they saw that fold over tongue back on the feet of the likes of Jude Bellingham and Trent Alexander-Arnold, pulled down as far as they could get away with. That, combined with the homage-fuelled Three Stripe branding, lifted virtually straight off the Accelerator, just hit the sweet spot like only a Predator could. On the back of that, Vintage Threads, a European vintage and reworked fashion leader, has partnered with adidas to bring us the Vintage Threads x adidas Predator Reworked Collection, celebrating 30 years of the iconic adidas Predator boots and their enduring legacy.
Drawing inspiration from adidas archives and the iconic Predators from the noughties and 90s, Vintage Threads has breathed new life into damaged shoes and pieces, creating wearable affirmations of history—both on and off the pitch.
The collection, comprising 12 reworked one-of-a-kind garments, showcases inventive pieces like vests and cross body bags crafted from damaged vintage adidas predator football boots, unique sweater creations using old football scarves, technical trousers incorporating goalkeeping gloves and an early 90s Arsenal tribute tailored suit. Each creation is a heartfelt homage to the cultural and footballing legacy of adidas, seamlessly weaving the spirit of the past into contemporary and future fashion narratives. The collection is accompanied by a curated assemblage of over 100 football shirts and merchandise.
The collection features unique one-of-one pieces, including the adidas Predator Boot Padded Jacket (£420), adidas Predator Boot Vest (£395), 1998/90 Arsenal x adidas Tailored Suit (£695), and the adidas Predator Boot Sling Bag (£220).
This is the second edition of Vintage Threads x adidas collaboration following the adidas Originals VT Rework collection in November 2023, featuring discarded archive pieces from the 1980s and 1990s that were transformed into contemporary, collectable garments from unique jackets and vests crafted from damaged shoes, a two-piece made from old headbands, furniture assembled from scraps, and revamped hoodies.
