If LUMO723 were tasked with producing the 2017/18 collection of adidas football shirts with no design limits, no budget and no regard for performance, the football world would be a stylish place.
They'd be chafingly warm and heavy, but damn would they look good. After leaving their mark on the recent Air Max Day drop by whipping up Mercurial Superfly VaporMax concepts, the Berlin duo are at it again by putting a football performance spin on the second adidas Originals x Alexander Wang collaboration that landed earlier this week.
LUMO723 have borrowed the design from high-end fashion power Alexander Wang and applied it to the shirts of Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Juventus and Marseille for an alternative take on replica royalty. That flipped Trefoil a nostalgic blast to kits of yesteryear. If it won't work for performance, it'll do just nicely for the pub. Beautiful stuff.
