Kitting out a scene embroidered in custom threads, ELDEJO continues to bring bespoke kits to the fore. With football the outlet and a story behind each design, his latest in the shape of 'La Vie en Bleu' is a tribute to French heritage.
Taking French cabaret singer Édith Piaf's "La Vie en Rose" and changing the "Rose" to "Bleu", he has placed blue roses all over the base pattern. Poetic as much as it Parisian, the shirt also is home to a custom FFF badge while the typography of the name and numbering are taken from those iconic kits from World Cup '98. Of which, the number 15 is a reference to the year Édith Piaf was born.
Adding real charm, the rosette adds a vintage tone and reads "Liberté Egalité Fraternité". ELDEJO explains, "I found some vintage fleur de lis pins at a flea market, so those are the 3D elements to add a bit of aristocratic bling. I was hoping the bling could help celebrate their cup win...."
That unfortunately was not meant to be though he has certainly threaded a triumphant number together here.
