Amateur football, pride of place is the Sunday league - usually going hand in hand with tough tackling, mud splattered scenes this photo journal from Willem de Kam spins this cliche on it's head with a piece for Dutch football magazine Staantribune.
Grabbing the spirit of football by the jugular, the piece features two games; one in Katwijk between Quick Boys and VV Katwijk, and one in Spakenburg between SV Spakenburg and IJsselmeervogels.
